Rev. Dr. Dianne Bentley

Thank you for welcoming me to an area I know a bit about with family history in the Honesdale, Hamlin, Moscow, Gouldsboro area.
The short version of my life: I grew up near Bradford and Warren and the Kinzua Dam in northern Pennsylvania then went to Grove City College near Pittsburgh then off to Drew University in New Jersey.  Many years later,  at Wesley in Washington DC, I received my DMin in Spirituality and Story.
My husband, Chris, just retired as an X-ray technician at Towanda Memorial Hospital, as a part of the Guthrie Hospital System in the northern tier of Pennsylvania and the southern tier of New York.  He worked there holding down the fort for the evening / night shift for over thirty years.
We have a daughter and two sons.  All are married with families of their own but we all circle around the Sayre area with a son-in-law working in Binghamton, a son working in Corning, and a son working in Scranton. Daughter works with the local Intermediate Unit and assists students with learning disabilities at two Catholic schools in the Sayre / Towanda area. One son is an attorney and one son is a surgical technician in the operating room. Daughters-in-law work part-time in ways that allow them time to tend to the needs of the littlest grands.
The grandkids are wonderful and range in age from 15 years down with the youngest less than 3.  Our goal has always been for them to grow up together in the sand and the waves at the ocean so each year we travel to Virginia Beach for slightly over two weeks of boogie boarding and all other things ocean together. We love the concerts and performers of Beach Street USA and the frozen yogurt and walks on the Boardwalk that we do each year.  We share all that with them for two weeks late in June and early in July each year.
I look forward to spending time getting to know all of you. Thank you to those participating in the work behind the scenes as you prepare for this change.  I look forward to our time together!
Blessings!
